Thank you from Jacob

Thank you to everyone who made it to our exhibition open day over the weekend. I'm happy to say Jacob Bodilly Pottery can keep a few wolves from the door this week. We had a lot of fun and also met some great new people from the local area. The commissions book is stacked out too. We are planning another open-day before Christmas. This week we will gain access to our new workshop next door and be able to start making it into the tuition space. We have had a lot of interest in our workshops and evening classes already, so I hope we can have it ready to go in the near future. I will keep you all posted for our next open day but in the meantime feel free to visit the studio and have a look at what we do.

I have managed to take a few photos today of some pots that were sold this weekend. These reserved pots were kindly left to stay on show and will be delivered to their new owners this week. I haven't been able to photograph the work from the show yet, but will get some studio shots done this week. Here's what I have so far today....And a few pre-show pics of the kiln and setting up late at night!

These pots are all sold now along with plenty others at this exhibition. I would like to thank my wonderful friend Hannah Lawrence for helping this weekend and also exhibiting some of her work alongside me. I would like to thank the steadfast efforts of my family for assisting in making this weekend welcoming for our guests. We never ran out of cake or tea or coffee! ! ! Hoorah!

  1. It was really good to see you again. I'm so glad the open days were such a success and wish you all the best for your future plans.
